In a surprising partnership that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Revealed
According to the formal statement, "A strange confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of forbidden rituals and monstrous transformations reverberate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret cult.
The questline centers on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an special katana alongside multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
