I will dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
